IMO

I am hoping to start moving away from simply re blogging funny photos and to start putting a lot more personal thoughts and original content on this page. The new theme I chose (Single A) reflects that change in focus. The text posts should read a lot easier and there is a lot more clean space. But don’t worry, animals doing stupid things and people falling on their faces will still dominate the “Posts I Like” feed in the right hand margin and the best stuff will obviously make its way onto the main page.

I really enjoyed hunting down a new theme and this one was the clear winner. I was very drawn to the green social networking buttons on the right as well as the custom redirect links above my title. However, keep in mind that the search function is still terrible. That is tumblr’s fault and is the biggest reason why will continue to make sure to use plenty of tags for all of my posts.

Please provide any feedback on the new layout. This theme is very customizable, so I can make changes here and there to make it read better. Also please let me know if any links are broken. I just threw them all up in an evening and wouldn’t’ be surprised if i had miscopied something. 

please hang with me while i fiddle with all the options available to me. ill post again when i feel like i have it all how i want it.

I like this theme a lot but it costs money.

I wanted something a bit cleaner. The most important thing is readability (IMO). My old layout had a lot of issues with sizing and centering.

The next most important thing is features. I really liked having the search function so I kept that. This new layout also has built in custom links. Not sure exactly how I will use all of them but I like the idea. Right now I have inserted links to my Last.fm profile, Xbox Live gamercard (DJ Drty Chapstk), and my Guitar Hero scores (ScoreHero.com).

That being said, there are still a lot of things that I am not completely sold about. I am not crazy about the right-alignment or the small text size. 

So let me know what you think. I may be tinkering a bit with color scheme and custom links in the next few days. Give me some ideas and I will try to implement them. Thoughts?

I was playing around with new themes. This is definitely my favorite one I have found so far. I really like the search bar at the top and I like the color scheme a lot. My biggest concern is that the text may not be large enough. Do you agree? What do you guys think? I have found that using my browser to zoom in works wonders. But is that too much to ask of my followers?
