New “Inception” poster design based off of Christopher Nolan’s amazing feat of a film. I had some free time and wanted to experiment with the wealth of material from the film. With this piece, I really wanted to utilize the mind-warping material in a way that brought the puzzle, multi-level nature and character links together cohesively. I was also incredibly inspired by M.C. Escher to bring a level of complexity and dimension to the design.

Check out http://www.lazmarquez.com for more info on this piece

Lost

I have been trying to see this movie with Katie for a while now. She has never seen it.

I am going to miss Lost tonight.

Random Poster of the Day: “A Nightmare on Elm Street”

In honor of the upcoming release for the Remake of “A Nightmare on Elm Street” (The original being one of my all time favorite horror films), I created this poster print artwork. For the release, I’m holding a little event with my close friends and had to create an invitation. After doing that, I realized that I may as well use the illustration in a one-off design. So here ya go! Hope you enjoy.

Reimagination of the Day: Graphic designer Laz Marquez, who previously created a set of alternative one-sheets for his favorite Hitchcock films, returns, as promised, with a series of “re-envisioned” Stephen King posters.

Take a closer look at the individual posters here.

I like the Carrie and Shining ones the best. Of course those are the only two I have seen.
